Victoria University’s Sydney and Brisbane campuses have released an important update for UG applicants from Punjab: CBSE and ICSE boards only — PSEB applications will not be accepted.

The UK government has announced major changes to the Graduate Route Visa, effective from 1 January 2027. The duration of the Graduate Visa will be reducedfrom 2 years to 18 months for applications submitted on or after this date. However, students applying before 1 January 2027 will not be affected. PhD and doctoral graduates will continue to receive 3 years of post-study work permission.

Starting 11 November 2025, the UK government has announced updated maintenance fund requirements for international students. Those studying in London must now show £1,529 per month (up to 9 months), while students outsideLondon need to show £1,171 per month (up to 9 months). Additionally, a maximumof £1,529 can be offset for accommodation expenses.

Many students applying for a Finland Study Visa through the VFS Global portal havereported a new issue after paying the embassy fee online or via QR code. Once thepayment is completed, the VFS account automatically logs out, and no applicationappears if logged in immediately. Don’t worry — this is normal! Students must wait 30–45 minutes for the system to process the payment. After this waiting period, anappointment confirmation email is sent.

Recently, many students applying through the EnterFinland portal have noticedchanges in the displayed financial requirement — sometimes showing €0.00, €9,600, or €9,733. However, students must still maintain proof of around €10,000 (₹10.5–11lakh) to meet Finland’s official financial requirement for study visa approval.
